3 Beauty Products I’ve Used (and Recommended) to Everyone

I am sure I’m not the only one who often gets confused about which beauty and self-care products to purchase. Ther is so much variety out there that it can sometimes get overwhelming. It definitely helps to know what other people whom I trust are using for their beauty, haircare and skincare needs.

This is why I’ve rounded up 3 products that I have used, promoted on Instagram and found really great in addressing my specific skincare concerns. #2 definitely made a big difference for me this time around with my postpartum hair loss and I hope that it can help you too!

Bioeffect

I’ve seen this mistake happen ALL the time; when we neglect ourselves, the first thing we let go of is skincare. I’ve always found a simple routine is easier to maintain and this is where the Bioeffect micellar water + EGF powercream has made the biggest difference for me.

EGF power cream has 23 clean ingredients, targets my main concerns, and has the most luxurious texture! Bioeffect micellar cleansing water, formulated with Icelandic water has changed my cleansing routine, forever! I’m so happy that I discovered these two products because honestly, after running around with 4 kids all day- I barely have enough energy to remove my makeup, put on my powercream and snuggle right down in bed- only to do it all over again tomorrow.

For those of you who haven’t found where you shop normally- Bioeffect is sold at Neiman Marcus and I’ve often seen them offer really cool gift items if you purchase more than a certain amount.

Nutrafol

Thinning or hair loss in postpartum has always been a scary thought and an even scarier experience! I was really happy this last pregnancy to have discovered Nutrafol- a physician formulated hair vitamin to target the root causes of thinning hair postpartum and to fill the nutritional gaps needed. Best of all, it’s breastfeeding-friendly. I can definitely tell that it made a difference in how my hair looked and felt after the baby was born.

Here are a few additional tips that helped me with my hair this time around:

  1. Be extra gentle with your hair to avoid excess damage.
  2. Use clean products fortified with biotin for shampoo/conditioner + styling products.
  3. Set hairdryer to cool + don’t use straightening/curling irons (avoid heat on your hair)
  4. Try hair oiling (I’ve started again + will share via stories!)
  5. Maintain a healthy, colorful diet
  6. Don’t stress! it’s a totally normal cycle to go through in postpartum

Tula Filter Primer

Whenever I find a product that works twice as hard and treats more than one skin concern, I have to see it for myself.

Tula is a doctor-founded skincare + wellness brand, and their products like the filter primer isn’t just a primer; it’s also skincare! The filter primer comes in three shades, one neutral. It gives a “filter” like finish, while probiotics help balance skin and the licorice evens the look of skin tone over time.

This past year has taught me to fully embrace my skin with skincare products to work with my concerns rather than hide them with foundation and ignore them for another day.

What skincare products do you swear by? Share in the comments below and maybe I’ll be going shopping for them soon!
